Create
with purpose
I'm Natalie Shipula, a multidisciplinary artist and designer who believes good creative work should do more than look beautiful — it should communicate, connect, and leave an impression.

— creativity is strongest when it has room to cross boundaries
More Than One Medium
I've never believed creativity has to fit nearly into one category.
My background in fine art shaped the way I think about color, composition, storytelling, and emotion. My professional design experience taught me how to turn those ideas into clear, strategic communication.
Today, those two worlds continue to influence each other. I might spend one day designing a publication or campaign and another painting, photographing a product, developing an event concept, or helping another artist figure out how to present and market their work.
For me, the common thread is simple: take an idea and make it meaningful, memorable, and beautifully, executed.
— Experience meets curiosity
With more than a decade of professional design experience. I've created work across higher education, healthcare, hospitality, events, small businesses, and community organizations.
I've collaborated with writers, marketers, researchers, executives, photographers, printers, developers, artists, and entrepreneurs.
The best creative solution begins with listening.
Before I design, I want to understand the goal, the audience, the challenge, and what the project needs to accomplish. From there, I build something that feels intentional — not simply decorative.

— Artist at Heart
Long before I was a painter, I was a designer. While design remains an important part of my creative practice, I am drawn to the unpredictability of watercolor—the water, pigment, texture, and timing work together to create something that can never be duplicated exactly.
That same passion for experimentation and curiosity carries into everything I create.
— more than making things
Being creative has given me an opportunity to build a community. Through art markets, artist connections, and creative events, I've become increasingly interested in helping other artists find places to show their work, connect with audiences, and grow their creative businesses.
Sometimes that means creating the artwork.
Sometimes it means designing the brand.
And sometimes it means helping someone else figure out their next move.
I enjoy all three.
